The Public Sector Partnering Contract (PSPC) is the first standard form of contract specifically designed for partnering in the Public Sector and is suitable for any type of construction project or service where a partnered approach is required.

The contracts empower partnering teams to develop procedures and processes which are tailored to their particular project or service objectives and desired outcomes.

Its key features include:
Straightforward language
Legal rights and duties
Requiring the Partners to agree and document key processes in the partnering agreement, which promotes a collaborative team approach

The contract's flexibility, simplicity and ease of use enable project teams to integrate and partner effectively, while the ‘user-friendly’ content allows team members to operate efficiently without the complex legal constraints that are often imposed upon them under alternative standard forms of construction contract.

"A simple and easily understood contract which encourages collaborative working in the public sector"

Roger Knowles

The PSPC was updated in 2011 to incorporate the requirements of the New Construction Act, which came into force on 1 October 2011.
